Kids Races
explorr isn't just for the grown-ups.
On Sunday 30 August, we're throwing open the course to the next generation — a 1km lap around King George V Park and the surrounding area, right in the heart of Banchory. Short legs, big effort. Cheering crowds. A finish line that means something.
Two events. One Sunday. Let them loose.
The Deeside Dash
Sunday 30 August · 09:00 · Ages 9-11
A proper 1km circuit through Banchory — same course, more competition. Open to runners aged 9 to 11 on the day of the event, this group means business. One lap, a crowd at the finish, and a medal that earns its place on the wall. The next generation of Royal Deeside runners starts here.

The Wee Dash
Sunday 30 August · 09:15 · Ages 5-8
Their first taste of a real race finish line. A 1km loop through King George V Park — wide, welcoming, and loud with supporters. Open to runners aged 5 to 8 on the day of the event, this one's all about the run, the roar, the medal and the post-race bragging rights.

Give them their explorr moment
Register for the Wee Dash or the Deeside Dash. Two distances, two age groups, one finish line they won't forget.
