The explorr Gravel Stage Race begins. Riders roll out from Banchory to tackle four iconic stages across Royal Deeside in a day of tactical gravel racing.

Young riders take to the course for a fun and friendly race in the explorr Event Village. Open to balance bikes and pedal bikes for children up to age 10, with a short traffic-free course and finisher medals for every participant.

Young runners take to the course for the explorr Kids Race around King George V Park. A fun lap through the Event Village with big cheers and participation medals waiting at the finish.

Podium celebrations will take place throughout the afternoon to recognise the fastest riders in each age category of the Gravel Stage Race. Join us in the Event Village to celebrate the day’s top performances.

Join us in the Event Village for headline athlete talk featuring exciting names from the world of endurance sport. Expect inspiring stories, race insights and a chance to hear from those pushing the limits.

Special medal sessions will honour the winners of the Mountain Challenge and Sprint Challenge. Celebrate the riders who conquered the climbs and unleashed the fastest speed on the course.

As the evening begins, walkers set off from Banchory for the Charity Night Hike to Scolty Tower. Enjoy forest trails, sunset views over Royal Deeside and a special atmosphere before returning to the festival.

The festival continues into the evening with live music in the Event Village. Relax, celebrate the day’s racing and enjoy a great summer night in Banchory.

The explorr Marathon gets underway as runners set off on the ultimate endurance challenge across the trails and gravel tracks of Royal Deeside.

Runners take on the explorr Half Marathon, a challenging and rewarding route through forests, gravel paths and riverside trails.

The 10km runners head out onto the course, tackling climbs, flowing gravel sections and scenic trails around Banchory.

The shortest distance of the day gets underway with the 5km Run, a welcoming route designed for runners of all abilities.

Podium celebrations will take place throughout the afternoon to recognise the fastest runners across each distance.

Relax and unwind in the Event Village with a laid-back DJ set providing the soundtrack to Sunday afternoon as runners celebrate their finishes and the festival weekend comes to a close.
