Banchory is easily accessible by road from across Scotland and the wider UK.
From Aberdeen, follow the A93 west towards Ballater and Braemar. The journey takes around 30 minutes.
From Dundee or Perth, travel north via the A90 before joining the A957 or A93 into Royal Deeside.
From Inverness, follow the scenic A939 and A93 through the Cairngorms.

The nearest major railway station is Aberdeen, with frequent services connecting to Edinburgh, Glasgow, Inverness and London.
From Aberdeen station, Banchory can be reached in around 30 minutes by car or by regular bus services running from the city centre.
Regular bus services connect Banchory with Aberdeen and other towns across Aberdeenshire.
Buses from Aberdeen city centre take approximately 45–60 minutes and stop close to the town centre, just a short walk from the Festival Village.

The nearest airport is Aberdeen International Airport, located around 35 minutes from Banchory.
The airport offers direct flights from across the UK and Europe, with onward travel to Banchory available by car, taxi or bus via Aberdeen city centre.
Visitors travelling from Ireland, Northern Ireland and mainland Europe can reach the UK via a number of ferry routes.
Regular services operate from Belfast, Larne and Dublin to ports including Cairnryan, Liverpool and Holyhead. From there, Banchory can be reached by road via the UK motorway network.
Ferries from mainland Europe also arrive at east coast ports such as Newcastle, providing another route into the UK. From these ports, continue north towards Aberdeen and Royal Deeside by car or train.
